Sourcing

We source and buy only speciality coffee from ethical and reputable UK speciality coffee importers. Our foremost supplier is DR WAKEFIELD, who have been importing speciality coffee into the UK since 1970. They have long term relationships with farmers from across all coffee growing regions of the world and ensure fair pay and sustainability. We also use other independent speciality coffee importers who can specialise in a particular region of the world. These include Falcon Coffee, Covoya, Caravela, Green Collection, Indochina and Raw Material.

At ROOST we bring in coffee that highlights all of the regions’ speciality coffee and diversity of Arabica, through their differing varietals, soils, altitudes and processing. At any one time we will stock three blends, two chemical free Swiss Water Decaf and twelve single origin coffees from across the globe.

Roasting

Espresso blends are roasted for espresso, higher and slower to caramelize, increase body and decrease acidity. Single origins are omni-roasted to suit all brew methods. We roast every week, five days per week to ensure beans are always fresh.
